About
Bridging research and policy for a knowledge-driven, human-centric digital future
The Glenlead Centre delivers multi-disciplinary research and policy for responsible digital and AI technologies for the public good and a flourishing society.
Who we are
We have a leading team of in-house and external academic and policy experts able to deliver contributions across a wide range of legal, regulatory, social sciences, education, and technology areas.
The Glenlead Centre has a broad pool of leading experts in several academic disciplines, particularly law, education, philosophy, and computer science. We tailor our project teams to each specific project. We also draw from our extensive network of policymakers, advisors, designers, developers, and technology entrepreneurs to devise the right policy solution for any given brief.
Our academics have taught and studied at higher education institutions, including the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, London School of Economics (LSE), Columbia University, Brown University, and Harvard University. The majority of our research associates hold doctorate degrees from leading universities.
At the University of Cambridge, our researchers have links to the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Education, the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy, the Centre for Research into the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH), the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law (CIPIL), and the Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP). Our researchers have also worked with AICam and the Bennett Institute for Public Policy.
Our policy areas
Our work focuses on (1) accountable digital and AI technologies, (2) data protection, privacy, and consumer rights; and (3) the future of education and research.
We are particularly interested in the projects that examine the impact of digital and AI technologies on education, research, privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, digital consumer rights and human rights, explainable AI, societal trust, and ethics.
Collaboration
Collaboration is a constitutive pillar of our approach, and we are always looking for new projects, partners, and research associates.
At the Glenlead Centre, we believe that through collaboration we can promote society’s collective power for good. In addition to our interdisciplinary team of in-house and external researchers, we also join forces with other stakeholders and partners.
